New Year.
Today, it is a new year, the first of January 2022.
A lot happened in my life in 2021, I lost people, I found new things and habits that improved my life in a positive way, I made great advancements when it came to my sleeping schedule, and last but not least, I’m in a healthier mental state.
2022 is here and that begs one question, what does 2022 mean for me? for starters I never make a new year’s resolution and I’m not going to start today. 2021 worked just fine for me, I didn’t need a new year resolution.
With that being said, these are the major things I accomplished for myself in 2021.
On March 2nd, 2021 I started writing every day and I’m glad to say to myself and to the world that I haven’t missed a day since. I promised myself a minimum of two hundred and fifty words of new thoughts and ideas every day, and I didn’t disappoint myself, who would’ve thought.
On November 15th, 2021 I started reading for about forty to one hour thirty minutes every day and as of today I’m glad to announce to myself and to the world that I went from only reading two to three books ever in the first twenty-five years of my life to reading seven books in the past seven weeks averaging a book a week, who knew I had it in me, and tomorrow I’ll be starting my 8th book.
I started drawing every day on April 2nd, 2020, a year and a few months later I’m happy to announce to myself and the world that I haven’t missed a day since and I’m not planning to stop.
In 2022 I’ll start making money and we’ll see where that goes. My plan for this year is to make a video a week and post it on my YouTube channel, the videos have to be taken seriously and with a lot of effort and care. I’m more comfortable making videos now, for after writing and drawing every day for a few months I’m proud of how I tell stories, who would’ve thought.
Finally, here we are, my blog. On January 4th, 2021 on the first Saturday of 2021, I decided I was going to post every Saturday a piece of writing on my blog. Today is the first Saturday of 2022 and I’m glad to announce to myself and the world that I was successful I didn’t miss a Saturday of blog posting on my website for a whole year, who would’ve thought.
Cheers here’s for another year of improvement and success.
Here’s a lesson that I learned, or rather an observation for lack of better words. As simple as it might sound, it’s easier to do something when you have a routine, some would prefer the term schedule.
Let’s hope this year is a good one.
Happy new year.
I Finished reading [The Scottish Play Murder by Anne Rutherford] on December 26, 2021. -(Took me 7 days, this was my sixth book)
