A New Journey Begins.
Art : Alone.
By Sakuan.
It’s scary.
In other News. Today is the day I introduce another major thing into my life, two months ago it was reading every day. Today I start sharing my art with the world in a more serious way. Remember the YouTube videos I said I was going to make every week, well, this weekend is my first weekend of uploading every week and I just finished editing my first serious art video, a video that tells a story. Toast to that.
Let’s see what comes out of this, someone great once said your art is only finished when you share it with the world, first of all, it’s scary to introduce something that you love so much to the world because you don’t necessarily know how people are going to treat it, parents know, they go through it with their children. This being the first time taking YouTube serious, it’s scary, but I hope something comes out of it, I’ll try my best.
Why did I start uploading? There are a couple of reasons, first, it’s a free place to share your work and there is a potential to reach a lot of people at no additional cost. Second, my work means a lot to me, creating literally saved my life, sharing my thoughts and ideas might help save a life out there, and that’s worth a shot. I can’t sit here and say I don’t really care if people like my art or not because I do. A part of me does, because I’m trying to offer a perspective that might help people out there, and if my work is hated then it’ll be harder to achieve that, and the whole point of doing it in the first place would be lost.
Then there’s this money thing, it’s hard to make a full-time income or money in general with a creative activity. My creative work has never garnered me any currency, just the thought of getting paid for my creative work feels so surreal to me because I really love doing what I do and getting paid from it, well… Not a lot of people can say they do what they love and get paid for it, let alone a creative thing. Getting some sort of income from my work would be something, it would be an accomplishment.
Sakuan getting paid for being creative, now that would be something because I love telling stories.
