UNJUST JUSTICE.
*Sighs*
I don’t know how to say this without sounding mad or sad, I don’t know how to say this without sounding like I am bitter or full of hatred, I promise you I am not, I am rather confused and have a lot of questions and thoughts about what I am seeing. The more I hear stories of how the law treats different people in our society the more I am inclined to believe that the law is not about justice for the most part, it tries to be but I do understand how hard and complicated running a society can be, just because that is true doesn’t mean the other part can’t be true either. D.As, pleas, lawyers, judges, authority, egos, law, state, and country. These are but a few things that may decide whether justice is served or not and it all depends on the amount of money you have. It is still a puzzling thing to me that there still is such a thing as a good or a bad lawyer, if the law was truly about justice this shouldn’t matter at all, but what else can we do? This is the best we can do…
Fathers and the law, in the hopes of trying to help women which is admirable for any country or state, and it seems to be happening at the expense of men, some would say that is an okay compromise we can afford as a society but those who are affected wouldn’t think the same. Fathers end up getting the short end of the stick from time to time. The fact that a father doesn’t have a say on whether his newborn should be put up for adoption or not is a scary thing, fathers who are capable of providing end up fighting in court for months or years for the custody of their own children who were put up for adoption without their knowledge is rather sad.
Yet here we are thinking we have control of our own lives, how pathetic and naive of us, the law can take away your child as a father and it can also force you to pay child support for a child, and in most cases all of this is dependent on what the mother says. I am not saying it is wrong or right, but we can’t deny it is unjust justice…
By Nu Nazareth.
